The 1166 Bluetooth® Rugged UHF RFID Reader builds on TSL’s rich portfolio of mobile UHF RFID readers by providing high performance reading and writing in an extra-tough form factor. The reader is waterproof and dustproof (with IP67 sealing) and has a two metre drop specification. A high capacity battery enables operation of the reader over the full working day.
The reader is compatible with Bluetooth® enabled host devices including Enterprise Handhelds, Consumer Phones, Touchscreen MP3 players, Tablets and PC’s, and will run on a wide range of Operating Systems. Almost any small device can be physically attached to the reader using a combination of the Pop-Loq system and commercially available device cases. The Pop-Loq system allows the host device to be attached or removed from the reader body in one quick action, and has been designed to separate on drop impact.
Extensive software support is available for a wide range of platforms including code samples, demonstration applications and source code. The 1166 Bluetooth® Rugged UHF RFID Reader is compatible with all software that has been developed for TSL’s other Bluetooth® UHF RFID Readers.
