RFID Journal has announced that SpotSee, a global leader in shock, vibration and temperature monitoring through low-cost connectivity and data, will be the cornerstone sponsor of RFID Journal Virtually LIVE! 2020. The conference and exhibition will be held online on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with operations in Brazil, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, China, Mexico and Graham, Texas, SpotSee is an Internet of Things (IoT) solutions provider that helps customers identify damaged items in their operations in real time. The firm’s connected ecosystem includes its own mobile virtual network enabler that delivers data to customers from devices around the world. Its ShockWatch RFID, SpotBot and WarmMark solutions monitor shock, vibration and temperature levels, as well as other environmental conditions.
According to SpotSee, damages incurred within the global supply chain cost companies as much as $2.3 trillion annually. During a keynote session on Sept. 30, Jan van Niekerk, the company’s VP of engineering and innovation, will explain how ShockWatch RFID can help uncover and reduce that damage by as much as 50 percent.
Virtually LIVE! is RFID Journal’s first virtual event with a full exhibit hall. It will bring together leading solution providers with a highly qualified audience of end users, providing a unique opportunity for customers to learn about leading-edge RFID and IoT innovations. SpotSee will display its connectivity products at the event, including its ShockWatch RFID damage indicator.
“We had been planning to launch the ShockWatch RFID damage indicator at RFID Journal LIVE! in April,” Van Niekerk said. “Unfortunately, the pandemic forced the cancelation of that event. But RFID Journal Virtually LIVE will be the next best thing, and we look forward to discussing ways to solve supply chain damage with attendees from around the world.”
“It’s unfortunate we were unable to hold LIVE! 2020 in Orlando as planned, but an online event is the next best thing,” said Mark Roberti, RFID Journal’s founder and editor. “We’re pleased that SpotSee has decided to take the lead sponsorship of the virtual event. I think attendees are going to be excited to learn about the company’s solution to supply chain damage.”
The virtual event will feature six concurrent conference tracks, as well as fast-track training provided by RFID4U and the RFID Journal Awards. The event will offer online exhibits and the ability to interact with exhibitors in live chat rooms or via video conferencing. To learn more, visit rfidvirtual.com.
