Identifying the Right RFID: Best Practices for Choosing an HF or UHF System for Your Industrial Applications

Every industrial application presents a unique set of challenges and demands to a radio frequency identification (RFID) solution. By understanding the unique capabilities each system offers, companies can select the best option for their particular.

The right RFID system provides manufacturers with high-quality monitoring capabilities, to deliver unparalleled control and visibility over automated operations for increased efficiency gains and improved production. Manufacturers should examine and recognize that there are differences between the various RFID technologies, such as low-frequency (LF, 125 kHz), high-frequency (HF, 13.56 MHz) and ultrahigh-frequency (UHF, 866 to 956 MHz), in order to ensure that the correct solution is implemented. It is important to know the speed, range, read and write operations, environment and number of tags that the application requires to achieve the necessary level of control.

This webinar will review best practices in choosing an RFID system, breaking down the strengths and weaknesses of both HF and UHF RFID. It will also identify the industries and applications that best suit each technology, and discuss common issues users may encounter.
