Oct 24, 2016BAE Systems' Electronic Systems (ES) sector spans the commercial and defense electronics markets with a broad portfolio of mission-critical electronic systems, including flight and engine controls, electronic warfare and night-vision systems, surveillance and reconnaissance sensors, secure networked communications equipment, and power- and energy-management systems. The use of radio frequency identification enables the automated location tracking of tools and equipment, which reduces search times, streamlines equipment maintenance and improves equipment utilization. This session will present best practices when implementing an RFID project in the aerospace and defense industry, as well as lessons learned for implementing passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) fixed portal and real-time location system (RTLS) solutions for tool and equipment management.
