Oct 01, 2015RFID Journal announced today that two co-located events—IEEE Brasil RFID 2015 and CPqD's International Workshop on RFID and the Internet of Things—will be held in conjunction with this year's RFID Journal LIVE! Brasil conference and exhibition. LIVE! Brasil will take place on Oct. 7-8 in São Paulo and will focus on RFID technology and its many business applications across all major industries.
CPqD will hold its second annual International Workshop on RFID and the Internet of Things on Oct. 8. This workshop will bring together international and national experts, and promote a roundtable with Brazilian government officials to discuss the opportunities and challenges the country faces regarding RFID technologies. Presenters will explore the challenges and trends in the technology's development, including products and services, as well as their applications in both the Brazilian and world markets.
The latest scientific and technological research results will be presented to attendees of IEEE Brasil RFID, also scheduled for Oct. 8. Guests will be able to meet and learn from the scientists and engineers at the head of the RFID research world, as well as pick their brains and learn from their efforts. The talks, papers and posters offered at the conference are selected by a thorough peer-review process performed by domestic and international experts in the field.
LIVE! Brasil will showcase leading end users presenting powerful real-world case studies. These presentations, offered in Portuguese (with English translations), will highlight how businesses are employing RFID, and where they are achieving real benefits today.
The content is designed to help Brazilian companies considering an RFID deployment to address real business challenges, determine the best technology to meet their needs, learn best practices from early adopters, find the right technology partners and move forward with adoption. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the leading technology firms and view their latest solutions.
"Our goal is to educate companies in Brazil and Latin America about how they can benefit from RFID and related technologies, so these two co-located events are a great addition to the conference," says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "This is an opportunity for companies to learn how they can benefit from these technologies."
In addition, visitors can attend the RFID Basics Workshop, which will explain the technical aspects of the technology, on Oct. 8. This workshop will outline all of the fundamentals of the various types of RFID systems, the regulatory environment in which RFID operates, and other essential information that companies must understand before deploying an RFID system.
