Is the EZ Tag used by the Harris County Toll Road Authority based on any RFID standards? If so, which ones—and if not, are there commercial interrogators that will read it?

In 2006, the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA), in Houston, Texas, began transitioning motorists to TransCore's multi-protocol eGo Plus RFID tags.

The so-called "EZ Tag" is a passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) transponder, based on the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 18000-6 standards. Any interrogator that employs the same protocol can read the random serial number stored on the tag.
