RFID Journal's 15th annual conference and exhibition will offer attendees the chance to become Institute-certified, and provide training in RFID deployment and applications development.

NEW YORK, Feb. 2, 2017—RFID Journal announced today that it has partnered with RFID4U, a leading radio frequency identification training firm, to provide RFID Professional Institute certification training and two post-event educational courses for attendees at this year's RFID Journal LIVE! 2017 conference and exhibition. These courses will offer a unique opportunity to upgrade skills and enhance career prospects in the fast-growing RFID industry.

LIVE! 2017 will be held on May 9-11, at Arizona's Phoenix Convention Center. This year's event will feature a fast-track certification training course, in partnership with RFID4U, on May 9, as well as two post-conference master classes on May 11.

The certification training is designed to educate participants about the different types of RFID system and how they can be used to capture data, automate processes and deliver business value.

The RFID certification exam, provided by the RFID Professional Institute, will be held on May 10-11, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM each day. Institute credentials indicate to potential employers that the holder has the requisite knowledge and skills to perform certain tasks, depending on the level of certification. RFID4U's RFID Professional Institute course will provide attendees with training designed to help them pass the certification exam.

One of the post-conference master classes will cover RFID applications for developers, while the other is designed to teach attendees about benchmarking ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) RFID hardware.

The goal of the Fast-Track RFID Applications Developers Training course is to teach software application developers how to build the next generation of rich, interactive applications for passive UHF RFID readers and peripherals. Exercises provided throughout the instructor-led course are designed to offer students an opportunity to gain practical experience with the skills and concepts covered during the lectures. Participants will receive hands-on experience with the latest RFID devices and cutting-edge RFID labs.

"These training courses offer a great opportunity for attendees to enhance their RFID skills," said Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "Attendees can take the certification training course and then take the RFID Professional Institute exam the next day, and leave with the industry's only certification credentials."

LIVE! 2017 will also feature four industry-specific and four level-of-expertise conference tracks, as well as eight in-depth preconference seminars and workshops, four post-conference seminars, the co-located IEEE RFID 2017 event and the RFID Journal Awards. What's more, the event will offer exhibits and demonstrations conducted by the industry's leading technology firms. For more information, visit www.rfidjournalevents.com/live.
