By RFID Journal

Sabesp, Petrobras, Sinctronics and others will present real-world case studies at the event, to be held on Oct. 7-8 in São Paulo.

RFID Journal announced today that industry leaders from a broad range of organizations will present new case studies at this year’s RFID Journal LIVE! Brasil conference and exhibition. These presentations will highlight how businesses are employing RFID, and where they are achieving real benefits today.

LIVE! Brasil will feature end-user case studies, offered in Portuguese (with English translations), covering a variety of applications—such as inventory management, asset tracking, supply chain management and others—across numerous industries.

“This is a great opportunity for companies to learn how they can cut costs, become more efficient and improve competitiveness,” says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal’s founder and editor. “There is no other event where businesses in Brazil can hear objective case studies presented by companies already benefiting from RFID.”

The event will be held on Oct. 7-8, at the Espaço APAS conference center, located in São Paulo, and will including presentations by the following industry leaders and experts:

• Antonio Almeida, Brascol
• Samuel Bloch da Silva, Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA)
• Francisco Coser, Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES)
• Dr. Bill Hardgrave, Auburn University’s RFID Lab
• Benemar Movikawa Tarifa, Sabesp
• Anderson Namen, Ambiente Brasil
• Diorgenes Penteado, Petrobras
• Edson Perin, RFID Journal Brasil
• Mark Roberti, RFID Journal
• Carlos Teixeira, Vale
• Brent Vickers, Sinctronics

The content is designed to help Brazilian companies considering an RFID deployment to address real business challenges, determine the best technology to meet their needs, learn best practices from early adopters, find the right technology partners and move forward with deployment. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the leading technology firms and view their latest solutions.

In addition, attendees will be able to participate in a workshop and two co-located events:
• The RFID Basics Workshop, which will explain the technical aspects of the technology, on Oct. 8.
IEEE Brasil RFID 2015, sponsored by the IEEE, on Oct. 7-8.
• The second annual International Workshop on RFID and IoT, sponsored by CPqD, on Oct. 8.
