ePix Ltd was established in 1998 and has been involved with tag development and reader development for the last ten years.
ePix ltd is a small research company based in the UK that likes to solve the difficult problems in the RFID industry. The development of the Power-Mapper, low cost RFID meter, was intended for the Alien technology academy which we taught, each month, for many years. This meter allowed students to see and measure the radio field and also measure polarisation, reflections, nulls and many other RFID parameters. It is now use by installers and developers worldwide.
In the early days of RFID the small ePix team was at the forefront of on metal tag development and recently ePix has solved the problem of tracking wines and spirits with the development of the long range Gen2 CapTag which is a flat paper tag giving 30 feet range when on a full glass bottle. The development of a new tag which gives a similar range on plastic bottles has now been released. Many companies have benefited from out antenna design and patents.
