From 2012 to 2014, Richard Jenkins led his company’s RFID Programme, introducing product-level RFID to all of M&S’ apparel, home and beauty merchandise. The program also extended new RFID counting technology to all M&S-owned U.K. stores, with the intention of having all stores RFID-counting all non-food merchandise. In July 2014, Mr. Jenkins was put in charge of RFID strategic development at M&S, creating a roadmap for future uses of RFID within the business.
