How Are We Doing? The RFID Connection to BOPIS

The Auburn University RFID Lab developed the “BOPIS Retailer Scorecard” for the purpose of testing the omnichannel capabilities of many retailers in the United States. The scorecard provides an in-depth analysis of a retailer’s ‘buy-online-pickup-in-store’ (BOPIS) proficiency and compares their performance to other retailers in the industry. The retailers were judged in very specific areas, including how well they communicated with the customer during the online ordering process, what types of confirmations they sent, and how fast and easy was it for the customer to actually pick up their order. In this session, Dr. Bill Hardgrave reviews the results of the Scorecard and most importantly, shares how well those retailers who have adopted RFID are performing, versus those who have not yet fully embraced the technology.

Speaker: Dr. Bill Hardgrave, Provost and Senior Vice President, Academic Affairs, Auburn University

Modern supply chain managers and customers want to know if damaging conditions were experienced anywhere in the supply chain on a timely basis. In this session, SpotSee will show why RFID is the perfect technology to connect goods traveling through the supply chain. Join SpotSee’s VP, Engineering and Innovation, Jan Van Niekerk and VP of Products, Angela Kerr as they discuss inception, creation, and future of RFID sensors’ role in eliminating supply chain damage and its consequences.

Speakers: Angela Kerr, Vice President of Products, SpotSee; Jan van Niekerk, Vice President of Engineering and Innovation, SpotSee
