Avery Dennison, Shenzhou Group Launch Vietnam Facility

Avery Dennison is continuing its expansion in Asia when it opened its joint venture apparel manufacturing facility with Shenzhou Group, one of the world’s largest vertically-integrated knitted garment manufacturers, on May 20.

Avery Dennison Worldon Vietnam Joint Venture Company Limited represents a significant milestone in the company’s strategic investment in Vietnam, according to AD company officials, reflecting their ambition to strengthen its role in the region as a key player in the textile value chain by delivering sustainable, innovative solutions in transforming the apparel industry,

Located in Ho Chi Minh City, the facility will produce a diverse range of apparel and digital identification products and solutions, including Embelex innovations and RFID technology. These offerings are designed to elevate brand value, enhance supply chain transparency, and strengthen Avery Dennison’s local manufacturing capabilities while contributing to the growth and modernization of Vietnam’s textile sector.

Continued Expansion in Asia

This strategic move aligns with broader regional economic initiatives focused on industrial modernization and sustainable development, bridging physical and digital capabilities to better serve global brands and local markets.

 AD recently opened its first RFID inlays and labels production site in India. Located in Pune, the plant’s opening marks a pivotal step in the company’s long-term commitment to supporting RFID technology growth in South Asia under the “Make in India” initiative, according to company officials.

The Pune facility established AD  as the first ARC-certified RFID inlay company to manufacture RFID inlays and labels in India and has introduced AD Cobra, an RFID inlay designed exclusively for the Indian market. The inlay is tailored to meet the unique environmental and operational challenges faced by Indian businesses, empowering brands to deploy smart product solutions with higher confidence and seamless integration.

Vietnam Investment

Shenzhou International a leading apparel maker in East Asia, has workforce of over 101,000 people with an annual productive capacity exceeds 250,000 metric tons of fabric and 550 million garments. With production bases across Asia, the company is focused on the timely delivery of premium activewear, athleisure, and casual wear to their global partners.
