Groupe Casino has teamed with the Institut de la Vision to try out an NFC-based solution from Think&Go so that customers with vision impairments can access data about the products they are considering purchasing.
The company’s solution, currently being deployed by Connecticut’s Stamford Hospital, uses real-time location system technology to display patient- and personnel-related data on a monitor installed within each patient’s room, based on a signal transmitted by a staff member’s ID badge.
