Tageos, a global leader in RFID inlays, tags, and smart product solutions, and Trackonomy recently announced a strategic partnership to launch the first battery-powered Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) inlays designed for scalable, mass-market deployment.
The collaboration combines Trackonomy’s physical artificial intelligence (AI) and smart logistics solutions with Tageos’ RFID expertise to unlock scalable smart-labeling for connected supply chains.
By using Tageos’ expertise in developing and manufacturing high-performance, sustainable inlays and tags with Trackonomy’s InPlay NanoBeacon BLE System-on-Chip (SoC) technology, the companies are targeting the growing market demand for durable, intelligent, and affordable smart-label solutions across industrial and commercial applications.
Comments from Tageos’ Picon
This collaboration underscores both organizations’ commitment to enabling large-scale digital transformation through cost-effective, energy-efficient, and easily deployable technologies.
“We’re proud to partner with Trackonomy, which allows us to extend our leadership in inlays and tags into the Bluetooth ecosystem, leveraging our deep RFID experience,” said Matthieu Picon, CEO of Tageos. “Together, we’re delivering robust, reliable, and cost-efficient BLE inlays that open new possibilities for connected packaging and sustainable IoT solutions.”
Two New BLEs
The inlays departs from traditional Turing-based microprocessor designs, making it uniquely suitable for Physical AI and next-generation smart-label applications. Developed by Tageos’ Innovation Center of Excellence in Munich, the new EOS BLE IN100 product line introduces two flexible, battery-powered BLE inlays optimized for high-volume, roll-to-roll manufacturing— the EOS-658 BLE IN100 is a miniature coin-cell battery BLE inlay engineered for long-range performance and extended lifespan and the EOS-651 BLE IN100 is a thin, printed-battery BLE inlay designed for ultra-slim printable smart labels meeting stringent durability requirements.
Each integrates with Trackonomy’s InPlay NanoBeacon SoC, known for its ultra-low cost, ultra-low power consumption, and programming-free design.
“We’re thrilled to see this innovation come to life through our collaboration with Tageos,” said Erik Volkerink, CEO of Trackonomy. “The market has long needed ultra–low-cost, low-power intelligent labels that go far beyond the capabilities of traditional RFID. This partnership creates the perfect foundation for the next era of operational efficiency in connected supply chains.”
Smart-Label Applications
The new BLE inlays will be produced within Tageos’ certified global manufacturing network, leveraging advanced, sustainable production processes to deliver next- generation connectivity at scale.
The flexible design supports both traditional coin-cell integration and emerging printed-battery technologies, enabling diverse use cases such as logistics tracking, temperature monitoring, and asset and inventory management.
“Our mission has always been to make Bluetooth connectivity simple, efficient, and accessible,” said Jason Wu, CEO of InPlay, a subsidiary of Trackonomy Systems. “Through this collaboration, we’re expanding the reach of our NanoBeacon technology into scalable smart-label applications that bring new levels of intelligence and accessibility to enterprises everywhere.”
