This award will be given to the end-user company that has demonstrated the best use of RFID technology to improve the environment, increase recycling or enhance sustainability. - Kentfa Advanced Technology, for an RFID system that enables scooter owners to exchange spent batteries for fully recharged ones
- Lassila & Tikanoja, for an RFID system that collects data about recycled glass volumes and enables it to be shared with stakeholders
- Taiwan Fiscal Information Agency, for an RFID-based solution that eliminated more than 4 billion paper invoices in 2013 alone
