Jan 10, 2018Defense and aerospace firms around the world are utilizing radio frequency identification technologies to monitor tools and work-in-process (WIP). RFID Journal's RFID in Aerospace and Defense conference and exhibition, held on Dec. 13, 2017, in Arlington, Va., was aimed at helping companies in these sectors to comply with customer requirements, and to use RFID technology internally to achieve significant benefits.
RFID in Aerospace and Defense was designed to help businesses use RFID and related technologies to improve work-in-process (WIP) tracking, enhance supply chain operations and reduce overall costs. The event featured case studies presented by companies already using RFID, to help attendees determine the best technology for their needs, learn best practices from early adopters, find the right partners and move forward with deployment.
In addition, those in attendance had the opportunity to meet with the leading RFID companies, and to receive RFID Professional Institute Certified Associate training, provided by RFID4U. The one-day, fast-track training course combined lectures and hands-on lab exercises, and provided a functional understanding of the use of RFID readers, tags, printers and general-purpose input-output devices.

Links to videos of the event's sessions are provided on the following pages, along with PDFs of the slides used in those presentations.
