Next-Generation Bluetooth Tracker Launched by Beontag, OneStop Pro

Published: June 3, 2025

Beontag has developed an advanced mini-Bluetooth tracker that aims to meet the specific requirements for demanding heavy-duty construction projects.

The Viking Micro+ has been specifically designed to meet the requirements of construction sites, where small but robust devices must be able to operate reliably in challenging and hazardous conditions.

This solution is the result of a four year partnership between Beontag, a manufacturer of self-adhesives and smart tags such as RFID, NFC, and Bluetooth technology, and OneStop Pro, a construction software solution for equipment and machine management company. Beontag provided the advanced beacons, while OneStop delivers the system and user experience.

Quiroz Centeno Commets

Beontag’s CEO Alejandro Quiroz Centeno in an interview with RFIDJOurnal.com said Viking Micro+ designed for is smaller tools at construction sites were previous solutions were just too big to attach to the tool.

“We were looking for something that still had a long-life battery, could withstand vibrations and on the compact size,” said Quiroz Centeno. “This is an ideal solution and now we’re glad that it’s in the market.”

Construction Solution

The solution is a comprehensive tool-tracking solution designed to withstand the harsh conditions of construction sites, including extreme temperatures, heavy vibration, weather exposure, dirt, impacts, and other heavy use. With increased robustness, the Viking Micro+ is built to endure the demanding lifecycle of construction tools, ensuring long-term reliability and performance in the field.

Dominik Märkl, CEO of OneStop Pro, noted as the first supplier to offer this type of mini-Bluetooth tracker in large volumes, they have built up extensive expertise with this product through customer feedback over the past few years.

“Tracking equipment— especially smaller and moderate cost tools— is a key requirement for our clients, enabling them to operate safe and cost-effective sites and operations,” said Märkl. “Our experience and focus on these needs, combined with Beontag’s innovative, forward-thinking digital solutions, have helped us to successfully develop the Viking Micro+, and we look forward to rolling it out to customers worldwide.”

Tracking Smaller Tools

Officials of both companies touted Viking Micro+ as being able for the first time to address a long-standing challenge in the construction industry: tracking smaller tools that cannot accommodate the larger BLE tags currently available. Designed to be both rugged and compact, the sensor fits seamlessly on handheld tools without interfering with their operation. The tag is powered by a built-in battery and requires only simple mounting to function.

Cedric Le Labousse, Beontag’s EMEA General Manager for DTE, offered that the the new offering isa “watershed moment in the field of automated tracking of construction site equipment.

“Since 2021, the partnership between Beontag and OneStop Pro has underlined our common goal of transforming the construction industry with innovative technologies,” said  Le Labousse. “The Viking Micro+ shows how digitalization can be implemented in concrete terms to enable construction companies to work more efficiently and safely than ever.”
