AsReader opened a new office in Mexico City July 1 to meet the growing demand for its solutions in Latin America.
The Mexico City Office, located at 14F Torre Summa, Hamburgo, Juárez, Mexico City, Mexico, features a live Spanish-speaking operator, shared lobby and workspace, rentable meeting rooms, and a fully equipped conference room.
The fifth most populous city in the world with over 22 million people, the new office is being opened as Mexico City’s digital economy is projected to reach over $75 billion in the next four years
Growing Talent Base
Paul Whitney, Vice President and COO of AsReader highlighted that the city responsible for providing development services around the world and talent pool is expanding with a number of universities in Mexico City prioritizing software engineering and other STEM disciplines.
“Mexico City has a thriving and rapidly growing technology sector, and we’re increasingly seeing it as a leading tech hub in Latin America,” said Whitney in a statement. “The number of startups and the availability of tech talent are well-known across the region, and this new office will best serve our clients in Mexico who are demanding the latest in RFID and barcode scanning.”
Mexican Market Focus
AsReader specializes in AutoID, including mobile Barcode Scanners and RFID Readers/Writers, and all aspects of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC). Their products that are used in Mexico include RFID readers, the RecoHand Wearable RFID, the and Finger Barcode Reader (023B) and AsCameraX Software.
The office is being led by Senior Business Solutions Consultant Robert Yount, the office began operations on July 1st.
“Our solutions are a great fit for the Latin American market,” said Yount. “I expect our M24D Android/iOS Sled and AsCameraX software to be especially popular here. With RFID sales growth even more rapid in Mexico than it is in the U.S., so the M30S slim-type will also be good here, as will the Gun-Type RFID, the Paddle-Type RFID and the RecoHand Wearable RFID.”
