Thanasis Georgiou obtained his Ph.D. from the Condensed Matter Physics group at the University of Manchester. In 2013, he joined BGT Materials, the first industrial partner of the National Graphene Institute, where he developed technologies for the production of graphene and its incorporation into end products. He also serves as the VP of Graphene Lighting, a designer and manufacturer of graphene-enhanced lighting products, and Graphene Security, a manufacturer and turnkey systems integrator for printed electronics in the RFID markets.
