We are using an NXP G2iM+ chip for tamper-evident container seals utilizing the TID to map the container ID. We understand that the TID cannot be changed or rewritten. But some of the chips, after being mapped with the container numbers, show a different TID. Sometimes, the initial four digits become zeros, or other times blocks of four digits change to something different. Can you please explain what is wrong here and how to control it?

Tahir,
This is an interesting problem, one that would be difficult to diagnose without more information. If you want to reach out to me directly at cswedberg@rfidjournal.com, I can connect you with an engineer at NXP Semiconductors who can help you troubleshoot.
