Apr. 1, 2010—
RFID Journal has announced that the top RFID technology and service providers, led by
Motorola, will present at
RFID Journal LIVE! 2010. This year's event,
RFID Journal's eighth annual conference and exhibition, will be held on Apr. 14-16 at the Orange County Convention Center, located in Orlando, Fla.
"With 150 exhibits, RFID Journal LIVE! is a once-a-year opportunity to see all of the latest RFID product innovations in one place," says Mark Roberti,
RFID Journal's founder and editor. "It's also a unique opportunity to hear end-user case studies and presentations by the leading technology providers, who will share the lessons they have learned during hundreds of deployments."
Mike Poldino, VP and general manager of Motorola's RFID division, will head the lineup of technology experts presenting at this year's LIVE! event. Poldino will discuss how to expand the scope and extend the benefits of
radio frequency identification, and will be joined by several of the company's solution partners, who will share their unique perspectives on the business value being unlocked by the technology.
Microsoft has been developing an ecosystem of hardware and software partners that are building low-cost, highly scalable RFID solutions. Sudhir Hasbe, the company's senior product manager, will showcase solutions developed by these firms, built on Microsoft's BizTalk RFID platform. These solutions address problems within specific vertical industries, and are cost-effective and highly scalable.
Mojix will host a panel with several customers—
BP,
Lufthansa Technik and the
U.S. Defense Logistics Agency—that will explain how they are using Mojix's passive ultrahigh-
frequency (
UHF) real-time location system (
RTLS) to achieve a new level of visibility into supply chain and asset-management operations within enterprises that have large-scale needs. In addition, Mark Roberti will explain how
RFID Journal plans to leverage Mojix's technology to provide an unprecedented view of activity at the conference.
In addition to these sessions, RFID Journal LIVE! 2010 will also feature the following presentations, offered by RIFD technology leaders:
