Mar 29, 2016 View Technologies, a joint venture between Stanley Black & Decker and RF Controls, will showcase its next-generation Echo 405, its latest fixed smart antenna system for capturing real-time data for items incorporating RAIN RFID (Passive UHF) tags in retail, manufacturing and logistics, at RFID Journal LIVE! 2016 in Orlando, May 3-5.
With the Echo 405, installations can now include smaller spaces with ceilings as low as eight feet. The antenna can also shift between circular, linear and horizontal polarization, making it possible to penetrate dense environments more effectively, such as retail locations where multiple pieces of merchandise may be stacked or bunched together. The Echo 405 can penetrate through these heavy materials, increasing its read rate substantially.
Echo smart antennas, feature patented bi-directional steerable phased array that can achieve up to 150-feet operating range with RAIN RAID tags, locating tags with high levels of accuracy -- three feet or better in ideal environments, with either a single or several smart antennas. Its high-performing reader is capable of both Power over Ethernet (POE+) and AC power, enabling greater installation flexibility and cost-effectiveness with improved RFID performance. They are the only products on the market today capable of utilizing patented algorithms in its advanced target acquisition technology to deliver true item-level identification, location and tracking information using RAIN RFID tags in free space.
Echo smart antennas are complimented by View Technologies’ inView Software Platform, built to enable third-party applications to run more efficiently and accurately. Through standard interfaces, the inView Platform offers insightful location-based data to Locate, Track, and Act on real-time data from the billions of items incorporating RAIN RFID tags used in retail, manufacturing and logistics.
