I would like to collect information from tags located that distance from the reader. Would that be feasible using high-frequency RFID technology?

Simon,

What you describe would not be possible. The reader antenna closest to the tag would interrogate that tag, but it would not be able to transmit that information to other antennas and then back to the reader. It would make more sense to use a passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) RFID system—but even then, you might need a special tag to achieve a read distance of 12 meters (39.4 feet).
