I'm a student doing research on RFID antennas, and I'm looking for an RFID chip that can operate at 2.45 GHz. Can you help?

The only passive RFID transponder that operates at 2.45 GHz is Hitachi's µ-Chip (pronounced "mu-chip"), which has a built-in antenna on the chip and a very short read range of only a few millimeters (see Hitachi Unveils Smallest RFID Chip, Hitachi Unveils Integrated RFID Tag and Where Can I Find a Tiny RFID Transponder?). It is designed to be embedded in currency or labels for identification, tracking and anti-counterfeiting purposes. There are a number of active RFID systems that operate at 2.45 GHz, but you cannot buy just the chips—you must purchase the complete tags.
