Does the Low-Level Reader Protocol support this capability?

The Low-Level Reader Protocol (LLRP) allows reader applications to function in a standardized way. The value of LLRP is that you don't need to write different application program interfaces for each brand of reader that you purchase.
I reached out to Sue Hutchison, GS1 US' director of portfolio strategy, to get an answer to your question. Sue says different applications can utilize LLRP to send commands to the same reader, but not at the same time. "It'll takes some extra programming to make certain of which application is speaking to the hardware at any given time," she states. "The standard supports that."
