I presume you refer to the Low-Level Reader Protocol (LLRP), which is part of GS1's suite of Electronic Product Code (EPC) standards and can help to reduce deployment complexity. This protocol standardizes the way in which reader commands are executed, ensuring that business applications or middleware can communicate with RFID interrogators. By standardizing these commands, LLRP reduces the need to write different application program interfaces (APIs) for each brand of reader. You can read more about LLRP on GS1's Web site.
