RFID Journal Staff asked 11 years ago If we assume a 100 percent market of radio frequency identification, and break the applications down into equipment management, patient management, staff management, and temperature and humidity control, what percentage of the market would account for each application area?

I have not seen a breakdown of applications as a percentage of the overall market. I would guess—and mind you, this is only a guess—that in health care, equipment tracking accounts for approximately 75 percent of the market, while staff management, patient management, temperature monitoring and other applications would make up the rest. How they specifically break down is very difficult to say, however, since they are a much smaller percentage of the market. Perhaps some of the companies that offer these solutions can comment below.
