What would I need to do to stop anyone from reading the implant?

RFID transponders designed for implantation in humans or animals typical operate at 125 kHz or 134 kHz, so you would need to find a device able to emit RF energy at this frequency range. That would cause sufficient interference to prevent the implant from being read. You could also wrap the area of the implant with tin foil to prevent the RF energy from reaching the implant. Keep in mind that an implant has a read range of only 18 inches (0.45 meter) at most, so if someone were trying to read an implant, you would be able to see that person standing less than 2 feet away from you, and could thus call the police.
