Ask The Experts Forum
Have There Been Any Live Implementations of RFID in Tape Management?
If so, please provide some examples.
Yes. We've published several articles covering solutions for tracking storage tapes, including those offered by Imation (see Imation Announces RFID Solution for Tracking Data Tapes), Axcess (see Axcess Offers Data Security App for Banks) and other companies (see Cashing In on RFID's Benefits).
We've also run a few articles regarding users of these systems, including banks, such as Bank of America (see Bank of America Deploys RFID in Data Centers) and Wells Fargo (see RFID: A Beacon of Light in the Banking System), as well as storage-service providers, such as Recall Corp. (see Recall Corp. Uses RFID to Recall Cartons) and Sure-Reach (see Records-Management Company Deploys RFID at the Item Level).
