What Is the NAICS Code for RFID Blocking Devices?
Please let me know what the proper code is.
I'm afraid I'm at something of a loss on this one. NAICS stands for the North American Industry Classification System, and is used by the U.S. government to classify types of businesses. The code used for RFID firms is 519190 (All Other Information Services).
You might be referring to NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology. NIST published a paper in April 2007 entitled "Guidelines for Securing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Systems," which spells out security measures that businesses should consider when deploying RFID applications. There is no "code" for blocking devices, but the paper does spell out a number of viable options.
