What Kind of Solution Should I Deploy at Ski Resorts?

Where can I find information about prices for parts for an RFID installation at a resort?

The solution would depend on what you are trying to do. Many ski resorts in Europe use turnstiles with passive high-frequency (HF) RFID readers, whereas in the United States, companies have opted for passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) RFID to avoid the need for gates or turnstiles. Fixed passive UHF readers are available on the Internet for about $2,000 apiece. You would need to install antennas and have software that tracks who uses the ski lifts. You would also need passive UHF transponders that could be embedded in lift tickets. It would make sense to find a systems integrator that could help you evaluate tags and readers, install the equipment and configure the software, rather than purchasing the individual components and assembling the solution yourself.
