What Do You Think Is the Best RFID Project for a Logistics Company?
How could we put the technology to best use?
The best project is the one that offers the most return on investment or solves a critical operational issue. These are often different for each particular logistics company, depending on its operations and business processes, the type of logistics it performs, and other factors. One issue we have seen that is common to many logistics firms is the challenge of tracking chassis and containers. Many companies have deployed an active RFID-based real-time location system (RTLS), in which active tags that beacon every minute or so are placed on high-value assets so they can be located anywhere within a yard or distribution center.
