How Can the Embedded C Language Be Incorporated Into an RFID Solution?

We are working on an RFID-based bus-announcement system. We use Embedded C to perform operations, but we don't how to incorporate the language extensions into an RFID reader. Can you please provide some ideas for how to do this?
