First NZ library chooses RFID

June 14, 2004—The first fully RFID-enabled library in New Zealand is expected to be ready by the end of 2004. Checkpoint Systems' New Zealand branch has been commissioned for the project, which will include the tagging of every book. If it proves a success, expect more New Zealand libraries to follow suit.
