Wal-Mart updates RFID road map, revises expectations for '05 deadline

May 19, 2004—Wal-Mart announced today at the Retail Systems Conference that its suppliers participating in the January 2005 RFID implementation program will on average be able to tag 65% of the pallets and cases shipped to the retailer. 100% was the originally stated goal.
