Has any useful data regarding transactions or inventory control ever been stolen in this manner?

No one has, since there is no documented case of anyone gaining access to critical information via radio frequency identification. I know there are many people hyping the threat of stealing credit card data via an interrogator, but to my knowledge, there are no credible reports of anyone stealing and using credit card numbers in this way. As far as systems used by businesses for the purpose of transactions or inventory control, I am unaware of even a single report of useful data having been stolen by eavesdroppers.
