There is a company called Linen Technology Tracking that tracks hotel towels and claims a reduction in theft and losses (see
Linen Loss Drops By 90% at Los Angeles Luxury Hotel). Another company, Towel Tracker, also provides a towel-tracking system that is used by hotels, fitness gyms and spas (see RFID Captures Each Time Guests Throw in the Towel).
