Yes, there are. The Auburn University RFID Lab tests passive UHF RFID transponders designed for retail, in order to determine whether they are suitable for different applications. Meanwhile, the European EPC Competence Center (EECC), a Germany-based provider of RFID services, conducts an annual UHF Tag Performance Survey. If you search our website for "EECC," you will find a number of articles covering the center's work.
