We use 3M RFID tags for our library collection, but a bar-code system and swipe technology for our library cards. Which companies offer RFID cards for library applications?

3M’s passive high-frequency (HF) RFID transponders for library applications conform to the ISO 15693 air-interface protocol standard. You could purchase any cards that conform to this standard, and they should work for your purposes. I would suggest purchasing samples off the Internet, from a provider that can customize the cards for you—there are many—and make sure they are compatible.
