RFID Journal Staff asked 9 years ago For my project, I need to know the values of the timing—T1, T2, T3, etc. With EPC Class 1 Gen 2 RFID, there are no precise values for these link timings. So does that mean they are completely aleatory values, or are they specific for each tag?

I am not an RF engineer, but my understanding is that a reader determines the link timing in a passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) RFID tag based on the second generation Electronic Product Code standard. It communicates with the tag and informs it when to send packets of data.
