I reached out to several companies that sell active tags and batteries for tags. The only person who responded was James Heurich, the president of RFID Inc., which sells active tags. He said his company uses 3V coin cell, lithium-manganese dioxide batteries, which are not rechargeable. If any of our readers sell active tags, they are invited to let us know which batteries they use—and if they sell batteries for active tags, they can post contact information below.
