Mojix makes a phased-array antenna system that can read ordinary UHF RFID tags from a distance of 600 feet (183 meters) or more. With larger tags, the read range would extend even further. This is about the longest read distance available. However, an exciter must be within 20 feet or so of the tags in order to power them up.
