I am new to the radio frequency identification space and would like to read a book that would quickly bring me up to speed. Any suggestions?

Andrew,
RFID for Dummies, by Patrick J. Sweeney, is a solid book that covers the basics of RFID in a readable manner. It came out a while ago, so it doesn’t cover some of the newer developments in this industry, but it should help you get up to speed quickly.
