The RFID Institute was set up by a group of RFID industry professionals, including me, last year (see International RFID Institute Prepares Certification Program and The RFID Industry Needs Professional Certifications). We have recruited some subject-matter experts, and are currently in the final stages of creating the certification process that we will follow, as well as a conflict-of-interest agreement for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), guidelines for question writing and editing, and some other things that must be in place before we can actually create the certification test. We hope to complete the first certification by the end of this year.
