Which companies offer software to deal with serialized data?

To date, there is very little software from established software companies that supports radio frequency identification, because most of it was written to deal with bar codes, which are not serialized. There are many RFID companies that have developed software to handle serialized data. Some of it is designed for specific industries, such as retail or oil and gas, while some is more generic, offering the ability to associate tags with just about anything so that objects can be identified, tracked and managed.

Among those that offer RFID software are:
Checkpoint Systems/OATSystems
GlobeRanger
InSync Software
RFID Global Solution
Simply RFID
Tyco Retail Solutions
Xterprise

These firms will all be exhibiting at the upcoming RFID Journal LIVE! 2015 conference and exhibition, being held on Apr. 15-17, in San Diego, Calif. Active RFID solution providers also provide software to locate assets on a facility map, and to manage those assets.
