I am involved in implementing RFID-based inventory management for a hospital. In this regard, I need to monitor the movements of small objects, such as ampoules, syringes, etc. What kind of tags are available for this?

There are both passive high-frequency (HF) and passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) tags designed for ampoules, small vials and syringes. Any of the major tag providers can supply tags for tracking these small objects. More than 20 tag providers will be exhibiting at RFID Journal LIVE! 2015, being held in San Diego, Calif., on Apr. 15-17, and most of them will feature small tags that could meet your needs.
