We are designing a new wallet, a portion of which will be made from plastic (probably ABS or Styrene). Is there any plastic compound or material available that has RFID-blocking characteristics?

Peter,
I am unaware of any specific product that has RF-blocking properties, but any carbon fiber reinforced polymer should do the trick. Carbon absorbs RF energy and prevents it from reaching an RFID tag. If there were sufficient carbon fiber in the polymer, most of the energy would be absorbed, thereby rendering the tag useless.
