RFID Journal Staff asked 6 years ago Throughout the years, I have heard RFID Journal advocate that RFID technology providers need to offer solutions versus technology. Are there any companies that currently provide comprehensive solutions for retailers?

At present, there isn't a single company that offers tags, readers, software and installation services. However, several businesses that provide software for retail—Checkpoint Systems, SML Group and Tyco Retail Solutions, for instance—work with tag and reader partners to offer full solutions. Some RFID reader manufacturers, including Mojix, Impinj and Zebra Technologies, have been developing software platforms that allow RFID data to be used by a variety of software applications.
