I am a graduate student and am working on a research project on passive RFID. I'm having a hard time finding an example of any firms that have actually fully implemented a passive RFID solution in a supply chain. Can you provide some examples? Wal-Mart has had some success, but I know it's not a completed implementation. Any help would be appreciated.

Scott,
There are not a lot of examples because deploying RFID through the supply chain requires more than one company to deploy a complementary solution. Many companies have asked partners to tag goods, but those partners are often unwilling. Here are a few examples of successful supply chain deployments that we've covered:
• KLM Maintenance Cuts Parts' Packaging Costs With RFID
• Deutsche Post Offers RFID-based Envelope Tracking for International Mail
• Norwegian Truck-Body Manufacturer Offers RFID-enabled Trailers
• IGC Brand Services Tags Diamonds, Jewelry
• Daher Aerospace Expands RFID Usage Throughout Supply Chain
• PostNL Tracks Temperature-Sensitive Pharmaceuticals Via RFID
• Carlsberg UK Expands RFID Keg-Tracking System
• Veiling Holambra, a Major Latin American Horticultural Supplier, Adopts RFID
• RFID Helps IKEA Furniture Maker Eliminate Shipping Errors
• J.D. Smith Tracks Pet Food Shipments Via RFID
