Specifically, I would like to know the pulse of RFID in health care in the New York region, compared to the rest of the country. Can you please provide information?

Glenn,
In general, there has been a slowdown in the adoption of active RFID-based real-time location system (RTLS) technologies. We have not published as many articles about these deployments during the past two or three years as we used to. There has been steady interest in using RFID to track implants and other high-value consumable products at hospitals. I don't know that the New York region has been any faster or slower than the rest of the country, however. Anecdotally, I would say it's about the same.
